According to the HACCP, cleaning and sanitizing should follow four steps pre-clean, principal(prenominal) clean, sanities and drying.Regulations concerned about cleaning and sanitizing in the McDonald arePre-clean1. The dine tables, chairs ,windows and equipment should be spotless.2. All the tableware and machine should be completely cleaned and sanitizing aft er work.3. The glass must be rub everyday4. The parking lot must be flush everyday5. The trash bin must be brushed everydayMain clean McDonald makes a readily cleaning regulation to main clean. Readily cleaning regulation means anybody in any position must clean the peripheral position to remark the position clean. What is more, the McDonald has its own picky method to simplify the clean and sanitizing job and save the time spent on clean and sanitizing.Firstly, they use lots of typography, plastic and other disposable tableware. This means, the worker only needs to put the table wares which are left by the customers when they finish into the garbage bin, and clean the table. Then everything is done.Secondly, they use trays and trays of paper, which are convenient for the customers to carry, and reduce the chance to dirt the desk. And as a result ,save the time spent on cleaning the table. Finally, all the kitchen equipments are of unstained steel surface. As the stainless steel surface is easy to clean, the efficiency of cleaning work is improved.Pest controlPest control is also of great importance. Nobody likes the presence of pests which bestow diseases. Here is what has been done in McDonald concerned about pest control1.McDonald especially centralize on the controlling of cockroach.2 In the entrance of the distribution center, a kind of special yellow light has been designed to drive the fly.3 The inside of the distribution center has been painted white, especially the floor rough the warehouse. Then it will be much easy to trace the cockroach and the mouse. and some actions can be taken to prevent bad ting from happening. In McDonald, the keys to successful pest controls are as follows1. Here are the regulations related to garbage disposal in McDonald1 Disposal garbage day and never leave them until tomorrow.2 Workers must clean the place around them at anytime.3 Use different trash bins to separate the different kinds of garbage.4 Wear gloves when dispose garbage5 Wash hand after disposing garbage Although garbage disposal is a small little thing, attention should be paid to, otherwise it will be harmful to the cleaning procedure.Receiving foodsAccording to the HACCP, the receiving contains the following aspects, and this report wills analysis the situation in the McDonald following the HACCP1. Approved source. To make all the prod ucts has the same flavor, the McDonald especially focus on the standardization of raw materials. And all the materials must be offered by the McDonald distribution center.2. To quality as a McDonalds supplier, they must meet the McDonalds interior food safety standards, product specification and farm biosecurity policies3. Guality supervision and scrutiniseionThe McDonald has stringent procurement standards. The purchasing department is responsible for quality supervision and inspection of the raw materials of the suppliers. When a defective product is found, it should be return immediately. And the suppliers should solve the problem as soon as possible. If the suppliers can not solve the problem before the deadline, their qualification for suppliers will be canceled. So the goods receiving procedure of the McDonald is following the HACCP.Storing nutrientsStoring foods is a funny thing for McDonald. According to the HACCP, the McDonald can store the hamburger that is not sold out as well as the method is correct and proper.1. The French fries must be thrown away, if it can not be sold out within septette minutes.2. The hamburger must be thrown away, if it can not be sold out within ten minutes. It is not because of food decay or food defect. The McDonald insists on offering the most valuable and qualified food to the customers. And this is just right the reason why the McDonald does what is mentioned above. So, storing foods is in fact not only a funny thing for McDonald but also a serious thing for McDonald. And through the following statements one can see, how serious it is1. The temperature inside the house for cold storage should be between 1 and 4, and the temperature of the house for cold storage should be between -2218.2. red undant attention should be paid to the storage of hamburger, otherwise accident will be easy to happen ,if it is not storied under the standard temperature.3. The storage of food and materials should be obey to the regulations. And it definitely follows the HACCP, or even does a greater job.Cooling and DefrostingCooling is a useful way to keep most of the food or materials fresh. When inspect whether the food is fresh or not, McDonald pays much attention to the test of temperature, especially the temperature control of the frozen food. The workers much inspect every product to make sure it is under the condition of cooling. The main principle for the refrigerate is insisting -FIFO, the FIFO stands for first in first out.Special methods have been made, concerned about how to organize the food, for example, there can only be six boxes of French fries up forward. Before the food being cooled, the manager need to inspect the temperature and the quality of the goods.Cooking and HoldingThe re ported foodborne illness cases per year were 76 millions in the US(Tauxe, 2002) and 9.4 millions in the UK(Walker, et al, 2003).Improper food handling is responsible for 97% of food borne illness associated supply(Griffith CJ, 2000). The McDonald pays much attention to cooking and handling procedure. The main principle for cooking is -less amount many time which can ensure the high quality and high fresh level of the food. For instance, 12 hamburgers should be made in four minutes workers can not cook the twelve hamburgers at one time. The time figured out for making one hamburger is one handured and forty-five senconds, take the additional time into consideration, humburgers can be made in ten minutes. Nearly all foods in the McDonald have the specific holding time, the holding time for humbuegers is ten minutes, for french fries is seven minutes, for apple pie is ten minutes, and for coffee is thirty minutes, and the temperature of the milk sent by the supplier must be under 4 , otherwise, it will be returned.ConclusionsIn conclusion, workplace hygiene is very important to McDonald which does a good job in such eight aspects above-mentioned. McDonalds ways to manage the workplace hygiene can be good references for other similar establishments. Beause of the work for hygiene is systematic, there may be some behaviours not conform to specified requirements exsit, for instance, some worker may omit washing, McDonald still needs to make better use of the HACCP to make the situation even better.ReferencesGriffith, CJ 2000. The Many Benefits of Hunting Essay -- Hunting Debate

When a Minnesota dentist killed a prized African lion named Cecil he received an onslaught of criticism and reignited the debate concerning pursuit. Those who oppose hunting often have no understanding of the many benefits provided by hunting. hunt club provides free nosecount animal data, as well as money to sustain clean rivers and forests and to manage wildlife populations. Animals are treated more humanely by a huntsmans bullet than by a slaughterhouses blade. There are two categories of hunters, the poachers and the traditionalists. However, people seem to classify hunters only by the practices of poachers. At first, I use to be one of them (people with no knowledge about the positive effects of hunting). I thought hunting was a merciless sport. cleanup spot an animal for its antlers, fur, or their body parts. I saw hunters as unethical humans and so did most of the people I ran into. Then again this was earlier I did my research on hunting. After my research, I found some facts that were compelling. Hunting after all was not what I had perceived it to be. Nevertheless, there are still people that have the wrong impression about hunting because they dont fully understand its meaning.Hunting has been around as long as humanity has existed. Hunting has played a key role in humanities fight for survival. Without hunting our ancestors may not have been fitted to survive. In his article, Hunting and Human Values author Paul Shepard states, that hunting may be a behavior that is inherent and about 95 percent of the time humanity has existed we have been hunters. The Representation of Minorities in American Cinema Essay -- Movies Fi

The Representation of Minorities in American motion picture As the semester progressed and we continued learn how Latinos have been perverted through American cinema during the twentieth century, I began to wonder about my own heritage and how Jews were portrayed in films of the same era. I grew up learning about the various stereotypes that have been associated with Jews throughout history, but never have I explored the portrayals of Jews through film history in the United States. My curiosity take me to research Hollywoods image of the Jew, providing me with a better understanding of the role Jews and Jewish family life have played in American Cinema from the very beginnings of film history. I was able to relate the facts about the representation of Jews in the media to what we have studied this semester about the representation of Latinos and Latinas. Although in class we cogitate on the portrayals of different Latin American cultures in American film, we must realize that other(a) minorities, social classes, and ethnic groups were mistreated by cinema as well. As Keller states, One of the side effects of American cinema was often crushingly brutal portrayals of other races and cultures, depictions that spread to larger audiences than ever before doable around the nation and even around the globe (Keller, 5). Overall, the American film industry felt it necessary to depict all characters but the dominant Anglo in a negative light. In short, Keller explains, white Americans believed in the superiority of the white race and depicted this superiority on the silver screen. Analysis of Jonathan Swifts Gullivers Travels :: Gullivers Travels Essays

Gullivers TravelsMany of the critics who have critiqued Jonathan Swifts Gullivers Travels have used the word extraneous more then once. Swift was viewed as an insane someone who was a failure in life. But this is far from the truth. Swift wrote Gullivers Travels, a book that has been assigned to students for years, and it is written from experience. Swifts experience with the Tories and their conflicts with the Whigs caused him to write books that mock religious beliefs, organisation, or people with views differing from his own. In one of these books, Gullivers Travels, Swift criticizes the corruption of the English government, society, science, religion, and man in general. In Gullivers first travel, in which he visited Lilliput, Gulliver is faced with the minute people, called Lilliputians. right away while this is the premise for a fantasy story, Swift uses the events within to make severe criticisms of England between reigns of Queen Anne and George the first. The people of Li lliput are about six inches tall, and in that respect size signifies that their motives, acts, and humanity are in the same, dwarfish (Long 276). In this section, the royal palace is accidentally set on fire, containing the empress inside. Instead of making his way crossways town, to the ocean, squashing the people of Lilliput as he goes, Gulliver makes use of his urine to save the palace. While this vulgar episode was a display of bravery, it infuriated the emperor, causing revenge to be vowed on Gulliver. Rather then be happy that both the emperor and the palace are not in ruin, the littleness of the government and the people in general is displayed in this act. Another display of this is the fact that Gulliver is used as the Emperors absolute weapon, but the emperor only uses him to conquer his world of two islands. This makes the emperors competition seem extremely low (Bloom, Interpretations 84-5). Swift also criticizes the religious beliefs of the Lilliputians and England in the first story. In Lilliput, Ministers were chosen strictly on agility, or their ability to notch a tightrope or stick jumping. They were able to maintain their rank of minister as long as they could keep these defeating these tasks (Swift, Writings 89). The political parties of the English government are represented by the conservative High Heels who depict the Tories, and the progressive Low Heels, or Whigs.

Suffering in Charles Dickens Oliver Twist and James Watsons Talking in Whispers :: English Literature

Suffering in Charles Dickens Oliver Twist and James Watsons Talking in WhispersI am going to explore the ways in which human vile is portrayedin Charles Dickens Oliver Twist and James Watsons Talking inWhispers. I am also going to explore the ways in which sympathy iscreated for the characters Oliver Twist and Andres Larreta. Withconsideration of Oliver Twists and Andres Larretas suffering I amgoing to see if they can be considered as heroes. I am going to do allof this by analysing areas of the novels, Oliver Twist and Talkingin Whispers.Oliver Twist and Andres Larreta some(prenominal) contract a great deal ofsuffering. They stimulate physical, emotional and mental suffering. The societies in which they are a part of also suffer. The sufferingof society in both novels Oliver Twist and Talking in Whispers arecaused by the authorities. However, the society in Talking inWhispers seems to be much bigger than the society that comes acrossin Oliver Twist. I think this is because Oliver Twist is primarily almost the life of Oliver Twist and how he reunites with some of hisrelatives, whereas Talking in Whispers mainly focuses on AndresLarretas life and Chile under dictatorship. It also has lots ofinformation about the Chileans as a whole. Both characters AndresLarreta and Oliver Twist possess heroic qualities. I believe they areboth heroes for surviving the suffering they had received.Oliver Twist and Andres Larreta both experience physical and emotionalsuffering. Oliver Twist is a young child, below the age of 10 years. He experiences a great deal of physical suffering. Oliver experiencesabuse at the workhouse. He was very poor and had little food, whichmade him empty. He had to work to stay alive. Although his work onlyearned him just about enough to survive. The hungry and destitutesituation of the infant orphan was duly reported by the workhouseauthorities. The author Charles Dickens states that Oliver is hungryand is in a poor situation. Another congresswoman of physical sufferingOliver experiences, is the beating he receives after he has a fightwith Noah. Olivers clothes had been torn in the beating he hadreceived his reckon was bruised and scratched and his hair scatteredover his forehead. Dickens describes his condition and implies to thereader that his beating was rough, violent and severe. He makes thereader sympathise with Oliver. Not only is this physical suffering forOliver, but for a child as young as Oliver it is also emotionalsuffering. It leads him to believe nobody cares for him and that he is

Pietro DiDonato’s Christ in Concrete Essay -- Essays Papers

Pietro DiDonatos Christ in concrete Pietro DiDonatos Christ in Concrete is a powerful narrative of the struggles and culture of New Yorks Italian immigrant laborers in the early twentieth century. Jerre Mangione and Ben Morreale, in their historical work La Storia, postulate that Never before or since has the aggravation of the Italian immigrant been more bluntly expressed by a novelist (368). A central component of this aggravation, two for DiDonato as an author and for his protagonist Paul, is the struggle to reconcile traditional religious beliefs and customs with the blendure of that very same faith to provide any open improvement in the immigrants lives. Through Pauls experience, we observe the Catholic institutions lose influence and effectiveness as Capitalist ones, manifest in Job, find their place. While doing this, DiDonato also illustrates essential aspects of Italian (specifically southern) Catholicism and the pressures placed upon it by the American environment. The novel opens by introducing Pauls father Geremio, his mother Annunziata, and Job. Geremio is a construction crew supervisor who struggles to improve his familys condition, and even though he has been making progress, he still wonders how much more will be exacted from him. A religiously faithful man, he asks God for guidance Is it not possible to breathe Gods air without fear dominating the scare off of unemployment? And the terror of production for Boss, Boss, and Job? To rebel is to lose all of the very little. To be obedient is to choke. O dear Lord, guide my path (13). Geremio articulates the conflict he feels between Boss and Job, which rules his earthly life, and the struggle of his spirit. The pressures have not crushed his faith,... ...ave either seen, survived, or know of. Yet, when they need help, there is nowhere else to turn. Paul doesnt arrive at Job, doesnt decide to dedicate his life to it, as his first choice. He only does so after other institutions, namely the Ch urch, fail to provide assistance. As a result, Job indispensablely becomes the central all-powerful force in the lives of the laborers. It is to Job they go every day, and to Job that they dedicate themselves. As the Church failed to help them materially, it also often fails to help them spiritually beyond encouraging them to accept their plight as fate. Once arrived at this state, it is a natural consequence that Paul loses his faith God and the Catholic institution as they are supplanted by the Capitalist institution of Job. Though he resents and wishes to break unbosom from Job, he sees no alternative, it is all that is left to him.
